It is an honour to again welcome competitors and spectators to the prestigious Montreal Women's World Cup of Cycling. Once more, we will be amazed by the performances of the world’s best women cyclists when they compete against each other on the Mont Royal circuit, the seventh and most demanding of the 10 stops on the tour. What makes this an even greater honour is that Montréal is the only city in North America to enjoy the tremendous visibility offered by this competition, strengthening even further our solid reputation in the international cycling world.

 

To top it off, while enjoying this competition, we will also have a chance to see the great athletes of the Tour du Grand Montréal, considered the continent’s biggest road cycling event.

 

These two international events demonstrate why Montréal deserves its reputation as a major sports city. We extend a warm welcome to the athletes and to the thousands of spectators from here and around the world who will be cheering them on.
