Thanks to its organizing committee and volunteers, today the Montreal Women's Cycling World Cup and the Tour of Greater Montreal are sources of important benefits for the metropolis. These sporting demonstrations encourage our youth to develop a taste for physical activity. It is thus with great pleasure that I accepted to be the Honorary President for these events. The World Cup trials' present competitions that unite world class female cyclists, including the best Québec athletes. I invite audiences to come out in large numbers, to experience the elating atmosphere surrounding these events and to warmly applaud the participating cyclists. These events confirm the metropolis' important role on the international cycling circuit. I look forward to meeting you!
